BLADDER AND BOWEL PROBLEMS

Did you know that more than 30% of women who have ever had a baby will experience incontinence or leakage of urine at some stage in their life?

This can be caused from:

-childbirth itself where the pelvic floor muscles and nerves are weakened and stretched

-weight gain during pregnancy

-hormonal changes during pregnancy

-constipation (difficulty and pain in stool evacuation)

-repeated heavy lifting and straining

-overactive pelvic floor muscles

We realise that this can be extremely distressing and embarrassing but there are various treatment options to help resolve this uncomfortable issue.   We can also provide expert advice on reducing aggravating factors and modifying activities of daily living to prevent your symptoms from worsening.
